RSS integration into Microsoft’s Longhorn
Microsoft is integrating RSS support into next generation of operation system. You may check out the “RSS Support in Longhorn” to see how the architecture envisioned by Longhorn team. As usual, MS is trying to make it “COM-tize” to make it accessible to any client applications compatible with it’s exisiting object model. Looks nice? However, since COM is too high level in computing model, while RSS is so simple and flexible, it won’t be a good solution for developers to integrate into their solutions.
